“Savannah Style”

Apple iphone 4 shot within Instagram using x-pro-II and contrast filters: Row Houses on East Liberty St., Savannah, Ga.
Very late to the Instagram party but having fun. Plan on posting iphone photography only to my Instagram feed.
I will be sharing some of my favorite Instagram pics of the week on my blog on the weekends.
I will write a much longer blog post about Instagram and why I have chosen to have an account.

UPDATE: Read my article “Instagram is Ruining Photography” here.

Love the bluish wrought iron curlicues against the yellow house siding. This leads to the sliver of bright red of a door of the next house. And then the verticals bring the eye down to the diagonals leading back to where my eye started at the wrought iron curves.
And if I’m ever in Savannah again I’ll know exactly where to find this scene, lol.
Hugs,
Flo
Hey Flo,
Thank you for being here. This was another lucky iphone shot. I was haninging out with Wes and we wnet to breakfast. We drove to one of Wes’s favorite breakfast places (which I never do on my own in Savannah….I always walk or bike). This scene was right outside of the car next to our parking space. Its one of my favorite camera phone shots so far although it looks beeter presented smaller :). To me this is a good lesson in creativity….it pays to break up your routins so that you can see the world in a fresh way…..Craig
Love the DOF produced by the close view of the blue wrought iron and the wrought iron in the distance. I am also drawn to the strip of red formed by the door in the distance. And, that house number is a bonus for completing the image. An incredible architectural shot.
Hey Wes,
Thanks for parking your car where you did!….the funny thing about this shot is its probably only possible with the crazy DOF you get with a camera phone….Craig
