I wish this was my back yard!!! I really like the red evening light and think the whole image is sooooo inviting… Nice pix’ this week… I like the lawn chair one too… kk
Ahhhh, both Last Light and Hammock look like terrific ways to end a day. If the developers of either of these sites were trying to emphasize the serenity of the property, you definitely captured that for them with these shots. I’d want to live there!!
Do you have the metadata for both of these images, Craig? I noticed that neither Last Light or Hammock have the shutter speed or f-stops listed with them.
I presume the Singh Ray color intensifier is once again your Blue/Gold pol. Again a very nice use of it to accentuate the warmer color of sunset. On my monitor, I might have chosen to punch the sat of either the green foliage or (using color picker to select) the lite cyan sky.
Craig, Nice light and colors. The hammock (as was the chair yesterday) is a pleasant surprise :0) I would like to see the base of the trees actually touching the ground though. To me they seem to be floating in the frame rather than anchoring it.

This is despicable. I now understand the ethical/moral dilemma you face when you are working for those nature haters. To choke those poor trees with that noose so I could imagine my lazy self enjoying the peace and serenity of this development is nearly criminal. The picture yesterday too showed the lack of caring by having that chair that was once a happy tree set in such a pristine location. For what? Again so I can imagine my lazy self in paradise. Just sickening!!!
I am guessing the last two days were for a housing development somewhere in Georgia. Looks a bit like Lake Oconnee. You shots are actually giving people access to nature. They buy a second home on Lake Oconnee and they have access to natural wilderness far away from a too busy lifestyle they lead in urban Atlanta. Looks good to me. To me the developer is doing a wonderful thing by promoting a lifestyle that encorporates enjoying nature.
Kevin – just click on the names or usernames that are underlined for certain people and you’ll be taken to their home pages. Those names not underlined don’t have a home page at present.
Craig – hammocks – wow – what a way to relax. This image says it all. I’d sure consider living there esp if I could have 2 trees close enough to each other to stretch a hammock! The chair with a view from yesterday also makes me just want to go sit in it and relax and allow the night to creep over me as the last light yields.
Thanks also for the link to the filters. I downloaded the pdf and had to use a magnifying glass to read it. But I sure enjoyed the example photos and the info about the various filters – until I got to the prices, that is. Bob Krist, one of the photographers featured, lives about 8-10 miles from me. He’s given a couple programs for our local camera club. Great guy. Congrats on having your photo from Monday featured as the cover photo for that brochure
