Thank you Wes…another shot made possible by the square….the square loves 50/50. And yes the light was quite exquisite here.. This was one of these days where it seemed like it would be mostly cloudy until sunset but about 10 minutes before that the sun broke through the clouds a few minutes. I was standing right in front of this scene when it happened… I took one far away documentary shot in case I lost the light and then moved in much closer for a few more shots. The closer I got the better it looked to my eye….this was my last and closest shot…..Craig
I’m quite struck, pardon the pun, by the stab of light that slices through this image. The vine on the tree trunk echoes the patterns of whitish deposits on the tombstone. Within this is a black vining form that almost exactly mirrors the prominent vine on the tree! Marvelous!
