You have captured an intensity in Doug’s eyes that is quite hard to look away from. It grabs you and makes you sit a stare into them. It is almost painful to look at but if you know this man, you can also know the warmth within him.

Has anyone noticed the correspondence in the crosses in the background with the cross formed by his nose and eyes? Plus, Wes, I agree with you about this portrait being almost painful to look at. Compared to the first one with only his one eye showing!
