    Actually 2 solos in this wonderful image. That small sliver of pink in the sky is also sort of a solo of color and the gull, of course, as the main subject. The mood of this image is so calming, peaceful and quiet.

    Centered! Even tho this looks asymmetrical, I see it as symmetrical! The gull’s position really nails this for me. The pink on the left horizon also stops just a tad to the right of the center. That bright vertical curve in the clouds and its reflection just to the right of gull and end of pink seems to be shoving everything in the right back towards the center. I don’t think I’ve ever seen and image that has had this effect!

    Anyway, I agree with Al and Wes – I love the calmness, peacefulness – wish I could have been there to see this in person.
