I see wings on the heart

  • Craig says:

    Hey Gordon

    Thank you for stopping by.

One of my favorite things about this image is the repetition of the heart shape in the headlights behind the pendant. It’s not anything I saw in camera … the car was moving and while I was motivated by the color of the light beIng reflected by the rain mainly I was just desperately trying to focus on the swinging necklace…. This is the only shot out of a lot where it’s sort of sharp.. Craig

Ethereal indeed! I enjoy seeing the heart archetypes along with the various color complements because it reminds me of the complementary emotional states of the heart (e.g. passion and sadness).

Good to see you posting again, my friend.

A very atmospheric shot, Craig. Proves the fact that there are great shots to be taken everywhere. You really have an eye for it.

This image certainly gets to the “heart” of the matter, Craig. This is just so powerful with focus on the heart while the wild colors in the background accentuate it. I can see a lot of emotion in this shot (love, conflict, joy, warmth, compassion and more love) A history of one’s life, I might say, or at least mine.

    Great image

    Hey Eric, Frank and Wes
Thank you very much for stopping by and thank you for your thoughts about this image… greatly appreciated !…. hope everyone is having a great Saturday. Sitting in a cafe in my old neighborhood with close friends listening to a beautiful recording of Clarence White playing “Wildwood Flower” ….. the heart is moved indeed….Craig

    Craig,
This is a beautiful image. I love the colors and the feel of it. I am very glad to see some new posts from you. Your images and critiques on TME are a huge inspiration for me. Your philosophy on photography is unique from any other photographer I have met and really resonates with me. I hope you are doing well and thanks for all of your hard work, past and present, to share your art and knowledge.

Oh my goodness! It’s images like this that separate you from people like me! I never would have seen this, much less tried to shoot it – with only that tiny little heart in focus!

The others have said it all. This is just superb. The kind of abstract that I so wish I could produce, but so far – well, one keeps trying.

    Hugs,
    Flo

    Craig,
I knew I was missing your images, vision and incite on life but the void has been filled with some wonderful images you have posted lately…thanks for sharing some of yourself again. I feel the wait was worth it!
    Peace and Love

  • Craig says:

    Hey Flo and Sam,

Thank you so much for the kind words of support and for all of your support over the years…. appreciated more than you can know….hope this finds both of you doing very well.

As far as this shot goes largely its a matter of having my camera with me all of the time and pointing it towards things that move me rather than trying to see “good” photographs……Craig
